WEDGE-GRIP Dead-ends are designed to simplify the costly, labor-intensive job of cabling trees. The simple housing and wedge assembly terminates EHS and Common Grade strand by simply sliding over it, and with a turn of the cap, the strand is held in place. The jacket is a tightly braided polyester that gives Kraken amazing durability, without making it feel brittle. In fact, Kraken is quite flexible and resists kinking, twisting, and hockling. Kraken's construction makes it easy to splice, and it functions very well in standard rigging setups as well as knotless rigging setups. You'll also find that Kraken mitigates shock fairly well, although Dynasorb is still the king when it comes to energy absorption. Available in 6 diameters ranging from 3/8-inch to 3/4-inch. -
