Teufelberger Ocean Polyester Eye & Eye Prusiks are a popular friction hitch for professional arborists. This prusik has two sewn spliced eyes, which fit snugly over many carabiners, keeping everything nice and tidy. Ocean Polyester is constructed of a polyester/Aramid cover, with a polyster core. The polyester/Aramid cover is highly abrasive and heat resistant, while the polyester core gives it good strength characteristics. 8mm Ocean Polyester works best with 7/16″ (11mm – 11.7mm) climbing rope.

The ISC Singing Tree Rope Wrench is used to create a bend in a rope above the climber’s hitch. With the addition of a stiff tether, the Singing Tree Rope Wrench creates a ‘contained double rope system’ on a single line of rope. This system travels with the climber as they move around the tree allowing a consistent level of friction on the hit.

At-Height has made this new tether in collaboration with Eric Whipple. Similar to their original tether there is a rubber bumper to help keep the wrench from going “neutral”. This version also offers the user the option to use it either with the legs together or separated.
